Fila: Why?

So I see that the folks at Fila, USA are smoking the same good stuff that some of the folks at Jordan Brand and Converse are smokin' on!

Why would you sign Hurricane Chris, whose song makes no damn sense and contains elementary rhymes, at best, to represent your brand?

Fila, if you want to regain some of the swagger that made you popular, go back to the kicks released in 1988 such as the Fila Fitness (as pictured) or the F-13.

Also, if they wanted to get a group that you already did a sneaker for and represents classic Hip Hop, get the Wu-Tang Clan to be your spokesmen. Now that makes sense!

  1. I couldn't agree with you more, Dee. I remember selling those Fila Fitness at Old Footaction before Footlocker bought it. Ah, the good old days.

Schooly D is the obvious choice for a Fila retro. He dropped a track called "Put Your Filas On" in '86!

I'm pretty sure he had an endorsement with them, as well.
