The "N" word?

There are some words in the English language that I don't like and one of those such words is the word "Nigger" or "Nigga" or some form of the word. Why is it a word that was 'given' to Blacks has been flipped and used as a term of endearment by Blacks? It doesn't make sense, right?

Show me a term of endearment or respect such as saying to me, "What's up Brother?" or "Wha happenin' Star?", that is a term of endearment!
