Rest In Peace

When I found out that Arnold "Red" Auerbach had passed on Saturday, October 28th, I took a step back and thought about what he means to so many people. For those that knew him well, he will live on in their memory and continue to look upon them for the rest of their life. For those of us that didn't know the many well, but appreciated his brilliance for his basketball knowledge and ability to win, we have to give respect to a man that led by example. He believe in things such as trust, loyalty and more importantly, respect. He gave it and he received it.

Bill Russell and Bill Walton are just a few of the big men that played for Red. Players such as Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Danny Ainge and Dennis Johnson were the men that help keep the Celtics dynasty alive and well.

Red will certainly be missed and his legacy and lessons of," Basketball is like war in that offensive weapons are developed first, and it always takes a while for the defense to catch up." and "The best way to forget ones self is to look at the world with attention and love."

We'll miss you Red! R.I.P.
