The Baller-in-Chief: Alpha Forces

As many people wake-up today to a new President of the United States,
it gives us, OSD, great pride to witness a "changing of the guard".

The world has changed ever so slightly and it's going to take alot of
work, patience, compassion and a willingness to be bold for the world
to truly change.

Yesterday, we showed you the Nike Air Command Force, which will be
shipped to President Obama, today we show you the classic Nike Air
Alpha Force from '88 and the 'Liberty Bell' Alpha Force sneakers from
'05.

Now, the question has to asked, what sneakers will President Obama be
wearing for his first pick-up game as the 44th President of the United
States?

Send us an email with your suggestions or join us tonight at 9:30 pm
EST/ 6:30 pm PST on the OSD Talk Show and let your thoughts be known.

Tune it at www.ObsessiveSneakerDisorder.com.

In Honor of the 44th President

We, the good folks of OSD would like to congratulate Barack H. Obama
on becoming the 44th President of the United States.

With that being said, we plan on mailing a pair of Nike Air Command
Force sneakers to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. so that
when the 'Baller-in-Chief' is ready for the OSD Basketball Tournament,
his kick-game is as stoic as he is.

Walk good Mr. President....Walk Good!!

Obama Kicks

So if you missed it, Will.i.am was rocking the Obama Air Force 1s to the BET Awards. The sneakers were customized by Van Taylor. Word is the kicks are being sold for $500 and part of the proceeds are going to the Barack Obama campaign.

Obama is a Baller

We've heard or read many stories about Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama enjoys playing the game of basketball. Obama has gone as far to get in a game that while relaxing in the US Virgin Islands, he was able to get in a full-court run at Ivanna Eudora Kean High School (St. Thomas).

We're working on getting the game footage, but you'll notice that Obama plays in Asics running sneakers. Now, if that's not a baller for real, I don't know what is.

Obama runnin' tings in '08!

Obama Kicks

If you've been living under a rock and haven't read a newspaper or walked by a television that's highlighting the latest debate or polls, then you need to quickly step out of your comfort zone and get a LIFE!

Obama's candidacy for the Democratic nomination is getting stronger, like Kanye West at the Grammy's, and even though we at OSD rarely write about politics (yeah, right!?), we had to post these pictures of a pair of customized Air Force 1s honoring Obama's run for Big Seat.

A Sneakerhead in the White House?

Can sneakerheads get political and start a movement for the upcoming 2008 Presidential elections? I’m not sure if this is a fair question to ask because as the world learns more about the ‘sneakerhead’ community, many have been quick to dismiss ‘heads as a bunch of fakers who only care about their sneakers and attire.

With the races getting jump started by the likes of Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and John Edwards it’s no surprise that Barack Obama has launched his own exploratory committee to ‘test the waters’ on a run for the White House.

As a number of sneakerheads approach that age of 18-years old where the males have to register with the Selective Service and register to vote, it’s going to be very interesting to see if these women and men do register and, as Puffy states “VOTE or DIE”.

It’s too early to make sweeping remarks because I’ve been known to be wrong a few times and I’m not too proud to admit it (It’s tough to admit, but I wasn’t raised a fool.). Time will only tell as a number of candidates will make their way through New Hampshire onto other ‘key’ states. Who knows, we may catch one or two candidates stumpin’ in their Air Force 1s? I’m not going to hold my breath because I’d have a better chance of seeing DJ Clark Kent rock the same pair of AF1s more than once.

Time will only tell and until then, I have to remain, humbly yours…….A Classic.
