Sneaker Hall of Fame

When we think of the NBA Hall of Fame, images of Dr. Naismith and the peach basket pop into most person's head. This was a game that was played all-the-while with players wearing leather shoes, not sneakers. Wow, alot has changed since 1891.

Well, we received information about the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2008 and they are as follows:

Hakeem Olajuwon
Patrick Ewing
Adrian Dantley
Pat Riley
Cathy Rush
Dick Vitale
Bill Davidson

Congratulations to all the inductees and we'll see you in Springfield, MA on September 5, 2008.

Now, onto the other news as it relates to sneakers.

Two players on this list are well known for their footwork but, one in particular, became known for terrorizing opponents with a move that simply became known as "The Dream Shake".

Check out some of their sneakers they wore while in the League:

CB: Two letters is all it takes

That's all that it takes to describe Charles Barkley- two letters. Whether it's the "Round Mound of Rebound" or "the Chuckster", as MJ affectionately called him, Barkley is a force to be reckoned with.

As a player, he was the antithesis to Jordan and, merely by body shape and size, was not supposed to do alot of the things that he did, on the court.

The man could go out and score 20 points while grabbing 15 rebounds and dish the pill for 5 assists with ease. He did it all and Dr. J quickly realized that he was "special".
