OSD: Episode 83: Woody of Sneaker Freaker Mag & CNN Sneakerhead article

The OSD Crew is joined by Woody, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, of Australian-based Sneaker Freaker Magazine, and if you haven't read Sneaker Freaker Magazine then it's time to hit your local bookstore and pick-up issue 15.

Woody gives us the low down on Sneaker Freaker, why he started the magazine and how they remain on point. To say that they're focused, would be an understatement!

In the second half of the show, hear as we discuss the CNN article entitled,"'Sneakerheads' pay big bucks for rare kicks".

Is there a responsibility on the behalf of sneakerheads to educate someone that is wearing a pair of fake sneakers? What do you think? Email us with your comments at ObsessiveSneakerDisorder@gmail.com or post your comment for others to read.

We're back at it again next week for Episode 84 and, as usual, you never know who'll drop by the show to talk kicks and culture!

If you've got it like that.......

If you have an extra $50k laying around and don't know what to to do with it (donate it to feed the hungry or help families rebuild their homes in Louisiana), then you can venture to ATL and place your order for a diamond studded pair of Air Force 1s called the "So Cals".

Word is that Big Boi will be the first to get a pair and he won't have to drop a dime to get them. He's getting his pair for free from Laced Up Boutique.

Ernel Dawkins, owner of Laced Up Boutique, is partnering with Rita Patel, owner of Priyya and Chintans, to have the sneakers embellished in Mumbai, India.

Word is this is just the start of something beautiful and word is that we shouldn't be surprised to see $100,000 pair of sneakers next year.

Pictures of the sneakers will be posted soon!

Caffeine Fiend

The first time I heard this song I was in the A (that's Atlanta for those of you who don't know) and Greg Street previewed it on V-103.3 FM. I said that Joc was back at it again, dropping another club banger/ rollin' down the street bumpin' it in your car song.

Check out the video and spot all the "streetwear" fashion statements and the occasional fake pair of kicks. Yes, I went there! Some fakes were spotted in this video. See if you can spot them.

Krunk Time?

In some unexpected news that I received in the form of a telephone call, word in ATL (Atlanta for the neophytes) is that my boy with the killer handle just became the head coach for the CBA team the Atlanta Krunk. Formerly known as the Atlanta Krunk Wolverines, thank goodness Freedom Williams changed the name, the Krunk are going to be led by the "wonder kid" Kenny Anderson.

Kenny Anderson, who played at Georgia Tech for two years, led the Yellow Jackets to the NCAA Final Four in 1990, playing with swingmen Dennis Scott and Brian Oliver, who as a combination were referred to as "Lethal Weapon 3". The Yellow Jackets lost to eventual Final Four Champions UNLV, a team that comprised of Larry Johnson, Greg Anthony, Stacey Augmon, George Ackles and Anderson Hunt.

I wish my left-handed friend good luck and I miss the days of playing at West 4th Street and tearing up the competition. For now, I'll be over here shouting, "GO Krunk!"

Kick of the day:
